Energy independence: “World War E” (E for energy) may not be a familiar term. However, the term was coined by Matt Bracken in relation to how there currently exists a world-wide war over energy supplies, linking Ukraine, the Middle East and other countries extending beyond.
-In other words, with all the violence and conflict going on in the Middle East, there underlies a coordinated systematic attack, targeting geographical locations where energy supplies bottleneck.
Blockades on Saudi oil supplies, targeting oil infrastructure and Iran’s responses to close the Strait of Hormuz have not been happening by chance. -These are deliberate moves to manufacture an energy war: A planned energy collapse.
What does this mean for we the people?
Whether you live in America or in another country, most folks will be affected long-term by this energy war. We will see energy become scarcer, as it is rationed, while prices significantly increase.
It’s not just about filling your vehicle’s tank with the required fuel; diesel or maybe natural gas. There’s much uncertainty looming over obtaining supplies of derivates such as nitrogenous or phosphate fertilizers and ammonia…
Further, we should also be greatly concerned over obtaining our electricity supplies from nuclear, coal, natural gas or other energy sources… -These sources are already getting drained, as supply chains hang in the balance.
The PJM (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland) interconnecting grid transmits power to over 65 million US Americans in real-time over some 13 states. Consider this in term of energy independence and reliability. It has been said that this system will struggle to supply all demands in 2027. The same applies to other regions in the US, especially when energy requirements will be in high demand (when there are extreme temperatures, very hot or cold days).
Energy independence
Due to the impending threat of energy supplies not being able to meet the demands, for preparedness, we seriously have to look at the option of becoming energy independent.
How could you achieve energy independence?
One workable option would be solar panels in conjunction with your own power station. You can use this setup to maintain and run all the things you need: Heating, cooling for air conditioning, refrigerating, lighting, running electrical/electronic applications, EV charging… etc.
Power stations
The beauty of having your own power station is that it runs off-grid. Pending the size you require for your needs, there are a number of good online suppliers who can provide you with a power station and give all the necessary details.
-Freedom comes from energy independence. It keeps cost of living prices down. While the grid system should still be made available, remember that solar panels make energy naturally from sunlight: Your government cannot tax you on sunlight! You won’t have dependence on oil refineries…

Will Energy independence have more importance than money?
According to Mike Adams, it will, because:
*The power grid will not be reliable.
*Blackouts, temporary power outages, even perhaps, shutdowns will become way more frequent.
*With more and more data centers getting built, this alone will limit conventional energy supplies, especially to local residents and their households who won’t be duly prioritized.
*Many people could be seriously caught out due to their lack of prepping.
*Solar panels are getting more and more cheaper and increasingly better.
*Same could be said about the required batteries as they become more affordable and efficient.
-With your own setup, you’ll have reliable energy available when needed at a cheaper price.
Beware!
Having said that, beware of those energy companies who have gone out of business, therefore don’t turn up at your home to service your setup, but still take monthly installment payments…
Buy all the necessary items then do your own setup installation if it’s possible. You’ll need the help of an electrician to install what’s called a transfer switch. This allows you to get disconnected from the power grid system and then get connected to your local off-grid.
It’s important not to have both off-grid and on-grid system running together. You and your computer can make sure that this doesn’t happen.
Independent off-grid systems only
Don’t compromise. Don’t partially own your off-grid system or you could experience uncontrollable shutdowns due to the gridline getting shut down. For example, your power could be shut down for reparations, then you won’t have any energy supplies…
Your off-grid system is capable of storing power locally through battery usage. It is capable of having enough power to operate your system 24/7. Even if the weather’s cloudy or rainy all day.
Emergency situation
If your system’s experiencing too much energy demand, in this emergency situation, it’s still possible to transfer the supply back to the conventional power grid. This conventional power grid supply can be used to charge up your off-grid’s batteries for energy storage. -Once charged, you can then go back to your off-grid.
There are other emergency power reserves available for you to use. For example, an old diesel generator could be used to generate an energy supply to make up for your lost kilowatt hours during rainy/cloudy days where energy demands exceed…
-The trick is to build and install more solar panels than what you actually require to take care of unexpected eventualities. In light of this, some say that you’ll need about a third more than your requirements. Do your own research. Get professional advice on this.
Finally
It is indeed a learning curve, requiring expert advice, involving safety procedures and oversight, but when taking all the above factors into careful consideration, you can achieve energy independence. You don’t need to get permission from your government.
